Privacy Policy
The short version: we only collect what you send us to plan your trip, share it only with the partners and services needed to run it, never sell it, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete it any time.
1. Who we are
Deshraah plans and arranges trips in India. We decide how your personal information is used for the purposes below, which makes us the “Data Fiduciary” under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Questions about your data: enquiries@deshraah.in or WhatsApp +91 81032 31880.
2. What we collect
Only what you give us, for the thing you're doing:
- Enquiries and bookings: name, phone, email, travel dates, number of travellers, the trip and add-ons you're interested in, and your message.
- Trip form (sent after you enquire): your city, age group, food preference, health notes you choose to share, an emergency contact, which type of ID you'll carry (never the number), room sharing, pickup and travel plans, and special requests.
- Payments: the amount, date and payment reference you share with us. Payments happen through your bank or UPI app — we never see or store card or banking passwords.
- Giveaways: name, email, phone, city, and whether you'd like trip offers.
- Reviews: your name, city, rating and words, and any photos or videos you upload.
- Partners and vendors who apply to work with us: business and contact details and services. During a job, a vendor's job link may record location and safety audio, only while the job is running and only with their agreement.
- On the website: which page you came from and campaign tags in the link (to know which ads and posts work), and basic, anonymous visit statistics.
We don't ask for ID numbers, ID photos or bank details through the website. If a permit needs ID details, we ask for them separately and only for that permit.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, plan and quote your trip, and confirm and run your booking — including sharing what's needed with the stay, driver or guide for your trip.
- To keep you safe: health notes and emergency contacts go to your trip leader, and are used only if needed.
- To send you trip details, reminders and updates on WhatsApp, phone or email.
- To run giveaways fairly (one entry per person, random draw) and contact winners.
- To publish reviews you've asked us to publish.
- To keep accounts and meet legal and tax requirements, and to prevent fraud and abuse of the website.
- To send offers — only if you've said yes. You can say stop at any time.
4. Your consent
You give us your details by choosing to send a form or message, for the purpose of that form. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to enquiries@deshraah.in — we'll stop using your details for that purpose, though we may need to keep some records the law requires. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect what we did before.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we need them for the purposes above — usually the time it takes to plan and run your trip and deal with anything afterwards — and for longer only where the law requires (for example, accounting and tax records). Giveaway entries are kept until the winner is drawn and the prize is given. You can ask us to delete your details earlier.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or complete it, or update it;
- erase it, where we no longer need it or you withdraw consent;
- stop using it for offers or marketing;
- and you can nominate someone to act for you in case of death or incapacity.
Write to enquiries@deshraah.in from the email or phone you used with us. We'll reply within 30 days, and we may need to confirm it's you first.
9. Children
Bookings must be made by an adult. When a family or school trip includes children, the parent, guardian or school provides their details and consents on their behalf. Giveaways are open only to people aged 18 or over.
10. Keeping your data safe
Data travels over encrypted connections, is stored with access limited to our team, and team members only see the parts of our admin they need. No method is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data, we'll inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Grievance Officer
Write to our Grievance Officer at enquiries@deshraah.in. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
12. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when the way we handle data changes; the date at the top shows the latest version. Booking terms are in our Terms & Conditions.
