About Coorg (Kodagu)
Coorg is coffee country, and it smells like it: estates under shade trees, pepper vines climbing the trunks, and mist sitting in the valleys most mornings. Abbey and Iruppu falls run hard after the rains, Dubare has a working elephant camp on the Kaveri, and the Tibetan settlement at Bylakuppe is one of the largest outside Tibet. It is a three-day drive-and-stay destination that rewards doing very little.

- Mysuru is about 3 hrs by road and Bengaluru about 5–6 hrs. Mangaluru is the nearest airport at about 4 hrs.
