India's oldest national park, about 65 km from Nainital: jeep safaris through Bijrani, Jhirna or Dhikala-area zones, with elephants, tigers and leopards in a river-and-sal landscape. Sightings are never guaranteed. Zones, permits and closure dates are set by the forest department (core zones of most tiger reserves close for the monsoon, roughly July–September); we book against the official quota and confirm before you pay.
